Alexa Chung teams with Vogue UK to create a six-episode series documenting of course fashion! Alexa unveiled the first of six episodes mid-September. Chung started out as a model in her teens, and has since branched out into TV presenting and designing, collaborating with big names such as Tommy Hilfiger on high fashion projects.
"I've been working in fashion since I was 15," explains the former model, introducing the first mini documentary. "And I've always found the inner workings of the industry fascinating. As an art form it has the power to create social change and challenge ideas of body image and sexuality. The thing that really bothers me though is that people are really dismissive of fashion in general."
With the help of designers and the British Fashion Council, Chung attempts to address the myths surrounding the fashion industry. The series will include interviews and elaboration of career options offered by the clothing business urging the younger generation not to be put off by the perceived difficulty of making it in the fashion world.
Each 10-minute episode will be revealed weekly on the Vogue UK YouTube channel.
